Privacy Policy

Muscle Mist is operated by Country Connections Inc. We know you are trusting us with your details when you order, and we take that seriously. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

When you place an order: your name, email address, phone number, shipping address, billing address, and what you ordered.

When you contact us: whatever you choose to put in your message.

When you sign up for our emails: your name and email address.

Automatically, as you browse: which pages you visited, the site that sent you to us, your general area such as city or province, and your device and browser type.

What we do not collect

We never see or store your credit card number. When you pay, your card details go straight to our payment processor, Stripe, who handles the transaction. That information does not reach us and we do not keep it.

Why we collect it

• To process, pack, and ship your order

• To contact you about your order

• To work out the right sales tax and shipping cost for your address

• To send you marketing emails, but only if you asked for them

• To see which pages people find useful so we can improve the site

• To meet our bookkeeping and tax obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

Who else sees it

Only the people needed to get your order to you:

• Our online store and customer platform, which hosts this site and holds our order and contact records

• Our payment processor, which handles your payment

• Shipping carriers, who receive your name and address so they can deliver

• Our accountant, for tax filing

We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

Cookies and site analytics

We use a small analytics tool that runs on our own server rather than a third-party service. It counts page visits so we can see which products people are looking at. It is not an advertising tracker and it does not follow you to other websites.

Cookies on this site keep your shopping cart working and remember you while you are checking out. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but the cart will likely stop working if you do.

Marketing emails

We only send marketing email to people who have asked to receive it. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. It works right away and we honour it, no questions asked.

Emails about an order you actually placed, such as your receipt or a shipping notice, are a different thing. Those are sent because you bought something and they will still reach you if you unsubscribe from marketing.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for seven years, because tax rules require it. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe, after which you come off our active lists.

Keeping it safe

This site runs over an encrypted connection, so what you type at checkout is protected in transit. Access to customer records is limited to the people who need it to run the business.

No system is perfect. If a breach ever put your information at real risk, we would tell you and report it as the law requires.

What you can ask us to do

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you

• Correct anything that is wrong

• Stop sending you marketing email

• Delete your information, apart from records we are legally required to keep

Just email us. We will get back to you within 30 days.

Children

This store is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
